About Ms. Benage
I am originally from San Antonio, but I'm happy to call Austin home. I graduated from Texas State University with a B.A. in English. I am also currently a graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University pursuing an M.A. in English education. I taught a professional development workshop for teachers of English in Jiangsu province, China in the summer of 2017.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked for an education based non-profit organization in New York City. I am the proud mom of a Scottie mix named Clarence.
